Short story (description):
The picture depicts a landscape with poppy plantations. At the front, there is a field of mature poppy plants. At the bottom, there are freely represented leaves and stalks – painted with free and quick strokes and at the top depicted are many flowers of poppy plants. Poppy flowers are also freely painted with quick and vigorous brushstrokes.
In the background, a distance of a great field can be felt, a field that ends at the foot of the mountain. The mountain is depicted from one end of the picture to the other, as is the field with the poppy plantation.
The sky is bright and heralds the early clear beautiful serene summer day.
The painting is cheerful, full of life and enchanting of the splendor of nature.
Use: The painting is displayed in the permanent exhibition section of the Bitola Museum and is important for monitoring the development of culture and creativity in Bitola and affirmation of the NI Institute and Museum of Bitola.
